THE NEATH BELL

 

Brent O'Neill (Radyr) Radyr reclaimed the Neath Bell following his 3 shot victory from fellow Glamorgan County Player's Ian Flower (Mountain Ash) and Mike Hearne (Sotherndown).  Leading by one shot after a solid 72 in the morning Brents afternoon round of 74 was good enough to seal a comfortable victory.

Victory gives Brent a head start in the Glamorgan County Golf Union Order of Merit with 20 points in the first event of the year. 

The Neath members did themselves proud by taking 7 of the top 15 positions showing the advantage knowing the course with the highest placed home player being Richard Hooper in 6th position.

 

The course was set up superbly with hard work being done by the green staff in the build up to the tournament and compliments were offered by the players.
